My first nephew, Drew is graduating from High School on June 5, and that makes me a little sad. Where has the time gone? It just seems like yesterday I had the brown haired little piece of heaven calling for Aunt Beverly as he busted a move with Chelsea.
All the older kids are grown. That being said. We had Alex, Christina, Chelsea and Drew. Then Dory restarted with Bailey and we added Nate and Lillian to the mix. I may need a wheelchair to attend Lillian's graduation...(joking)
The older kids have a slight privilege over the young ones. These kids knew and loved the Nana and their Grand Bee, and my two had their Mommaw Lois, as well as both paternal great grandmothers and my beloved Grandma Butler. Drew has the memories of precious time spent with his Grandpa to add to his memories. We have tons of pictures and someday I'm thinking us sisters should do albums for each of them, so they don't forget and can have a tangible treasure of memories.
With impending family cheering and Drew's humiliation that will be the result of it, us three sisters formulated a plan of memory making! After, the tassel is tossed and the tissues are too crumpled to use anymore, everybody is heading to Ohio to pile up at Aunt Bevy's!! We have planned some Zoo, and Kings Island time as well as a little eating too much, talking at and over each other and staying up to late and of course the continual flash of my camera. I am super excited to have my whole family here. I'm counting our Dad in to the bunch. Since he will be here for the graduation, why wouldn't he come on over to Ohio with everybody and enjoy the madness? Having him on the East coast instead out in the desert will be a real treat for all three of us girls and all the grandkids!
Remember when we were all young and nobody could afford a fancy vacation? What did we do...we all piled up in someone's house and made memories! I can't wait to do this with them all!! So starts the planning!! Come on June..cause we all know Bevy's needs a new project!
