Looking back part one

It is quiet here...very, very quiet. Emma is curled up on my lap and I have spent the last 3 days feeling guilty that I didn't blog at all last week. My thoughts are jumbled full of memories, so I plan of doing a couple blogs about our week. Because if I didn't, this one blog would be 15 pages long!

Our Princess Airman arrived on Friday night...that should've been my sign. She had told me she arrived at 5:45....rush hour traffic time to get to her. So, I left at 4:15. Her flight was actually due at 6:45, but thanks to the president, she was delayed. Seems he was talking in Minnesota, where she had her connecting flight. So I spend 4 1/2 hours at CVG.

Lots of coffee, potty breaks and people watching!

I waited on my hero, but in the process got to see 2 other Hero's return home for R & R!

I sat in the secured "fish bowl" waiting and watching....returning to the flight information screen to see if she had arrived, because down in the bowls of the airport I had no cell service. The flight was arriving at 8:05, then it was in range, and still I sat with my camera ready to shoot my Princess Airman's returning smile! Did I remember how she walked? How does she carry herself? I didn't want to miss her!

But, I DID!!! She was soo excited to be home to Mommy she bolted out of the gate and sprinted the entire 300yrds to the baggage claim, and I missed her! After her flight was eliminated from the arrival board, I ventured upstairs, to find my Princess setting against a wall, looking disappointed that Mommy wasn't there...but, I was, she just ran right past me! Hugs and apologies ensued and I finally had her home after 9:30pm.

Rest up a Princess, cause we've got a busy week ahead of us! Rissa and the kids arrive on Sunday, then off to WV for Drew's graduation, then pick up Trenton and return to Ohio for lots of family fun, with Rissa, her babies, Nate and Lillian, Dory her babies, Drew and Bailey, David, me, and Chelsea!
