More summer visitors sleeping in the guest bedroom.

After things quieted down from all the family fun and everybody went home. Me and Emma settled into quiet and long walks. For about 6 weeks. Then we got to host two of the finest people we know! Aunt Judy and Uncle Gene did their west coast pilgrimage and included us into their itinerary. Talk about feeling privileged! They drove over from West Virginia in one of the summer's nasty little storms. And when they arrived, our electricity had already been out for about 2 1/2 hours. We planned on showing them some of the sights and feeding them our Cincinnati favorites. Good thing we planned on eating out and I hoped the electric would come back on while we were go, and then just as we got ready to leave for Montgomery Inn, the powers that be allowed the electric to turn back on. Good thing, I didn't want them sleeping a dark, unconditioned home. That wouldn't score high on their visit rankings!

We ate, drank and just spent time catching up and getting some of that good old fashioned family lovin! Growing up, these two were always a bright light in me and my sisters lives. She always remembers our birthdays, even today. She always sent a little box with the MOST delicious shell chocolates at Christmas time and her home is always open to us. It's like going home. We as a collaborative wish we were all closer to her....they live in Arizona. They make you feel warm and cozy, loved, worthy and needed. Just ask anyone of us and we will tell you, they are our FAVORITE family relatives!

Thank you for taking time out of your schedule to come and visit us in Cincinnati. We discussed getting out to Arizona to visit. (and YES, so I can take pictures of the Grand Canyon) There IS a family wedding in October and I have been gently begging to get out there for that. I could even get some wedding pictures for my portfolio! Keep your fingers crossed....October is right around the corner!

Having lunch on the Newport Levee.....a little Irish fish and chips

The Purple People Eater Bridge.

From the Levee, the City of Cincinnati. The Queen City.
Some levee beauty...my favorite multi-colored Lantana!
If we didn't tell you enough while you were here...We LOVE you Aunt Judy and Uncle Gene.....you are the bee's knee's!
