Bailey quickly headed to the grandkid room to play & I started cleaning the Sandy blackout mess. It is amazing to me how unkempt it had become after 3 days of no electric. You must remember, the fridge had to be emptied, so trash needed to be put out on the curb, the sink needed scrubbed and the dirty dishes needed to be loaded & washed, and how did 2 people manage to accumulate 4 loads of laundry in 3 days? Layers upon layers of clothing and no warm shower may have had something to do with it. I won't tell you how icky my foyer was and that the vacuum worked double duty. But, everything is neat & tidy and after a home shower, I settled into wait for our Trick or Treaters!
Yes, that's what I said, Trick or Treaters on November 1st!! Thanks to Sandy I think the entire state waited til tonight. I was excited, especially after NO costumed visitors last year. Before Bailey left we got Emma into her bee costume.

Once the trick or treaters started, Emma was in heaven! She loved having all the cute little visitors.

She was wriggling with excitement, tail wagging and anxious to greet them each time I opened the door.

I had to finally hold her in my arms when they showed up, because she kept darting out the door in an attempt to go trick or treating with them! We had quite a few and some inventive costumes! Emma had her favorite, and I had mine!

At 8:00pm sharp the last ones were across the street, so Emma took off her costume and I put on my flannel Jammie's and we settled in for a night of tv...but, it was November 1st, so no creepy scary Halloween movies could be found, we settled for The Sorcerer's Apprentice and crawled into bed early. Tomorrow is Friday, that means Miss Haleigh comes! I hope all the Trick or Treaters got a lot of good treats! If they came to my door they got a big handful!
